League Notices


The sixth annual Jessie Games are on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Cool Springs Sports Complex (1530 Hamilton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15234). Registration is now open, so take a minute to visit http://bit.ly/2YELdh6 to attend or sponsor a family.Cost is $45 for a family and includes all events and games, as well as T-shirts for the kids, and picnic style fare to end the day.

Created in honor of Jessie Egan Smith, who had a special smile, an engaging laugh, a competitive spirit, and a heart filled with love for her family and friends, the Annual Jessie Games provides friends, clients, and donors of Catholic Charities a chance to enjoy an afternoon of fun and games while also supporting our youth programming. Geared towards families with children up to the age of 12, the Jessie Games offers races, a dunk tank, exciting bounce opportunities, watermelon-eating contest, games, food, fellowship, and more.

On behalf of the University of Pittsburgh Strength and Conditioning staff, we would like introduce to you our Strength and Conditioning Camp being held June 6-8, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. The camp is open to all incoming 9th to 12th grade high school student-athletes. Each camper will be able to experience 3 days of how our Pitt student-athletes train. The camp will feature time in the weight room and on the field/court. The primary focus in the weight room portion of the camp will be to teach technique in all types of resistance training. Proper technique ensures safety and effective transfer of the movement from the weight room onto the field of play. In addition, campers will learn speed, agility, and quickness skills to use in their daily training to reduce the risk of injury and improve their overall athletic performance.
