League Notices


ATTENTION ALL GIRL'S GRADE SCHOOL COACHES

League games have been completed.  The 1st round playoffs are beginning on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at home courts.  If you have a home game (indicated on the bracket), please schedule your 1st round games and let us know the dates and times.  We need time to schedule referees for these games. 
Also, if you have a 2nd round home game, please schedule these 2nd round games as soon as possible.

The Class A Varsity Champion will represent the Pittsburgh Diocese in the State Tournament being held by the Greensburg Diocese at Greensburg Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School (911 Armory Drive, Greensburg Pa..  The tournament will begin on March 6 through March 8.

Aquinas Academy and CYO Sports 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament; Saturday, March 14; Aquinas Academy Rhodora J. Donahue Gymnasium; Deadline to register is March 2; Space is limited; Open to all 7th and 8th grade students; Boys compete 8:00 am – 11:30 am; Girls compete 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm; 3 or 4 players per team; $40 per team to register; No admissions fee for spectators; Each team will play a minimum of three 10-minute half-court games; The top four teams will advance to the Championship rounds; Trophies will be awarded to Champion and Runner-Up teams; Tournament T-shirt and "Goody Bag" for all participants; Concessions will be available; More information concerning the details and rules of the tournament can be found on the Aquinas Academy website: www.AquinasAcademy.info - Flyer and Registration Form

Our Lady of Fatima 36th Annual William L Davis 5th Grade Tournament - Girls and Boys Divisions; February 26 through March 1, 2020; Each team is guaranteed three games. ‘Early-bird’ registration cost is $125.00/team, $200 for two teams from the same school. Early-bird pricing runs through January 26, 2020. Basketball Stars of America will be hosting Tournaments & 1 Day Shootouts in the Pittsburgh area for Boys & Girls teams during the Spring, Summer & Fall months. Camps


Each year CYO recommends summer overnight basketball camps conducted in a safe environment. We have examined and evaluated these camps for Cost, Expertise in Instruction, Amount of Games, Tournaments, Improvement, Facilities, and 24 Hour around-the-clock supervision. The camps on the attached flyer have continued to be approved and recommended by the CYO as overnight camps that have the highest level of skill development that will improve each individual to their fullest potential and prepare them to be a future High School player. The recommended camps are listed as the best instructional camps concentrating on the fundamentals of basketball. Keystone State Overnight Summer Basketball Camps are intensive skills camps with high powered individualized skill training guaranteed to advance player skills to the next level. 3 times more instruction than all day camps,  Point Guard or Big Man Camps. All sessions are held at  Slippery Rock University July 16-19. Campers are housed in air conditioned suites with private bathrooms. Summer Leagues


Devine Mercy Academy (St. Bernadette's) will be hosting a 7th and/or 8th Grade Girls Summer League. This is open to 7th grade teams, 8th grade teams and 7th/8th grade teams both public and private. The summer league will start the first Sunday in June and run through the month of July. The price is $250 per team. Times will be 6, 7 and 8 PM on Sunday nights. The McConnell Academy at Cool Springs (3001 Cool Springs Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15234) is head by legendary Pennsylvania Coach Tim McConnell and his team. Basketball Stars of America, the AAU leader in Western PA, will be holding its 2020 Spring AAU Basketball Tryouts for Boys & Girls in 1st to 12th Grade throughout January, February and March at locations in Wexford, Canonsburg, Bethel Park, Cheswick, Elizabeth and Monroeville. Spring In House & Weeknight Skills Basketball Programs are also offered! Instructional Tournaments


Saints Peter and Paul School in Beaver, PA will be hosting their 20th annual JJV basketball tournament for JJV girls and JJV boys teams starting on Tuesday, March 3 thru Sunday, March 8, 2020. Team and individual trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams. 3rd grade division with medals for 1st and 2nd place teams (if enough interest/teams).  Team free throw shooting contest with awards. Food, music, raffles and much more. 20TH ANNIVERSARY PRICING, ONLY $50 PER TEAM! Single elimination with minimum of 2 games guaranteed. Instructional Announcements


Seton LaSalle Boys Basketball Coach Mark Walsh will direct a Little Dribblers Program at Seton LaSalle starting on Sunday, February 16. Players take the court from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM.
