The sixth annual Jessie Games are on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the Cool Springs Sports Complex (1530 Hamilton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15234). Registration is now open, so take a minute to visit http://bit.ly/2YELdh6 to attend or sponsor a family.Cost is $45 for a family and includes all events and games, as well as T-shirts for the kids, and picnic style fare to end the day.

Created in honor of Jessie Egan Smith, who had a special smile, an engaging laugh, a competitive spirit, and a heart filled with love for her family and friends, the Annual Jessie Games provides friends, clients, and donors of Catholic Charities a chance to enjoy an afternoon of fun and games while also supporting our youth programming. Geared towards families with children up to the age of 12, the Jessie Games offers races, a dunk tank, exciting bounce opportunities, watermelon-eating contest, games, food, fellowship, and more.

Basketball Stars of America will be hosting Tournaments & 1 Day Shootouts in the Pittsburgh Area for Boys & Girls Teams during the Spring, Summer & Fall Months. Camps


Each year CYO recommends summer overnight basketball camps conducted in a safe environment. We have examined and evaluated these camps for Cost, Expertise in Instruction, Amount of Games, Tournaments, Improvement, Facilities, and 24 Hour around-the-clock supervision. The camps on the attached flyer have continued to be approved and recommended by the CYO as overnight camps that have the highest level of skill development that will improve each individual to their fullest potential and prepare them to be a future High School player. The recommended camps are listed as the best instructional camps concentrating on the fundamentals of basketball. These camps have proven to be conducted in a safe environment with around the clock supervision and are directed and staffed by caring adults.  - CYO Approved Camps

GIRLS CYO RECOMMENDED BASKETBALL CAMP - Keystone State Overnight Summer Camps are intensive skills camps with high powered individualized skill training guaranteed to advance player skills to the next level. More instruction than any Point Guard or Big Person Camp. Camps are held at Susquehanna UniversityJune 23-26 and at Slippery Rock University July 27-30.  Campers are housed in air conditioned suites with private bathrooms. Dining Hall is all you can eat. 4 Seasons Hoops Girls Summer Hoops Academy-  Come and join us for a unique opportunity to learn some of the finer details of the game. This 6 week course includes a progression of skills and drills that will help players to improve their ball handling and footwork. These skills will be dovetailed into a conceptual understanding of the game. Summer Leagues


Baldwin-Whitehall Girls Youth Basketball Summer League 2019 - This league is open to all girls entering 1st - 8th grade; There are three divisions: 1st - 3rd grade Pee Wee Division; Beginner/Intermediate Division 4th-6th Grade (Includes all 3rd grade girls that have played travel ball); Advanced (travel ball layers/Determined by league director) - Includes all 7th & 8th Grade players; All games will be played at the Baldwin Borough Municipal Building outdoor courts. The league will begin June 25 ending no later than August 3. Each team will play an 8-10 game schedule; You do not have to be a Baldwin-Whitehall Resident to participate; You will be placed on a team with no more than ten players. We do not accept already formed teams. All players receive equal playing time. This is to be sure all players use this league to learn the game and have fun while playing. Devine Mercy Academy (St. Bernadette's) will be having its 2nd Annual JV Girls Summer League. The games will be played on Sunday nights and run from the first weekend of June to the last weekend of July. Also open to public school 5th and 6th grade teams. Since 2006 PITTSBURGH PRIDE HOOPS’ primary focus has always been to develop the basketball skills and fundamentals of our players.  We want to help our players become the very best basketball players that they can be.  We have weekly basketball workouts every Sunday for both boys and girls from grades 4 through high school.  Please see the flyer for more information.  We also offer 1-on-1 and small group workouts (which can be focused on basketball-only drills or can also include some speed, agility, and quickness training). Sacred Heart Elementary School in Shadyside is looking for volunteer basketball coaches for the upcoming 2019-2020 season. We are looking for a JV Girls Head Coach, as well as assistant/B teams coaches in the girls and boys programs. Diocesan clearances required.
